its beginning to look alot like winter

i don't know how I feel about these shorter days. Okay, I know I don't like them, and this weekend has been cold and rainy to boot. I debated all day with myself to walk, or not to walk, the skies looked crazy, threatening to rain at any second. But 3:00 i said fuck it, loaded a bowl, and put on my coat. It was a beautiful afternoon, not a drop on me. I took my usually route, then a little farther. I saw the bison, casting pools, and the windmill. I made it all the way down to the beach, just in time for a cold but gorgeous sunset.

So I basically didn't blog all summer. wtf did I do for the last three months?? Beats me. Fuckin boys that's what. waste of time, waste of text, more trouble than their worth! So today is September 1st, and I am dedicating this month to me! Its the month of Megan! Last night I wrote lines in my journal ; fuck f, this is the month of Megan. Read, run, shoot, dance, ball. Megans doing Megan!! well today at school I lost my journal. I'm taking it as a sign, a good one. Today is the first day of the better me. forget this summer. Reallly, for the next month at least ( my original intention was for the rest of the year, but we'll see how this month goes) I want to focus on school, finding a new job, going back to ballet with my mom, running, cooking more and more deliciously, hangout with my friends more, taking more pictures, not dating boys. Yes YES!! here's to me!!!! last weeek I got an iphone and I'm a little infatuated!!

ok, first thing i downloaded/uploaded was the  hipstamatic app. At first it wasn't saving my pics, but it figured itself out and I got snap happyy. I happened to be at work. This is the showcase. I stare at this all day. Uni $8.50

I really do kinda love this iphone. It is also a good tool for me to become the better megan cuz i can run and shoot at the same time, ggp is beautiful, even if i do run the same route all the time there are plenty of beautiful things to capture.

Happy Mother's Day to me?????

Mother's day was last Sunday, and I for one had a lovely time. I went to my Aunt's house, and I wish I had brought my camera with me because her house, the food, my family, all beautiful. We had a crab cake salad and seafood chipino, and for dessert mixed berries with pound cake and whipped cream! Then it was present time!!! My Gma go a dress! My aunt was talking about her recent adventures at the Goodwill Boutique on West Portal. The wine glasses, this sweater,  a suit for my cousin, all from Goodwill. She went to her bedroom and came out with a dress she bought for my mom, just because the dress was her style. And for me? My Aunt was like, "I got this for myself, but its too small, its a yellowish orange jacket, 18 bucks!" the sound of yellowish orange got me a little nervous, but then I saw the jacket and it was love at first sight. I don't know why I was so terrified of yellowish orange, they are like my favorite colors, I guess I was thinking anorak.

  yo! and I have sooo many things that go with it!! I feel like as a blogger it is a rite of passage when you get that thrifted J. Crew blazer, now I'm part of the club!

different dress, same party

In a former life, I must have been an African Princess. I love this print, I wish I could have made 60 outfits out of it. 

   I really love a long dress, its perfect for sun or windy, or whatever mother nature throws at cha. As of now, its a little too long for me, but with a tweak here and there I have a feeling this will be my new go to dress.

   wowie!!! This dress was soo easy to make! I literally put it together in about an hour with no real plans or patterns. As of now, THIS is my go to dress! I've worn this on two different dates (with two different dudes of course!). Its short and colorful, just like me.
